Secretary Sonny Perdue was in Michigan on Tuesday learning more about Michigan agriculture and the relationships between Michigan State University (MSU) and Michigan’s diverse agricultural commodities.
While at MSU, Perdue met with facility on a variety of research projects including disease management in specialty crops and the use of remote sensing technologies. He also met with industry leaders and students on priorities and relevant issues including trade, labor, regulations, and other economic influences.
The Secretary stressed that they want to know how they can improve the delivery of services to the agricultural industry and stated “We want to hear from you!”.
